The epic wedding of Mine and Dinch at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London.
Mine and Dinch first contacted me early in 2016 to enquire if I was free to shoot their wedding at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. Unfortunately for both of us I was already booked for their date, and after listening to Mine’s vision for the day I was so disappointed. Roll on to early 2017 and Mine called to ask for referrals as the photographer she wound up booking had let her down. As luck would have it, the couple that had originally booked me for that date had moved their wedding to later in the year so I was now free. It was one of those instances where the stars all aligned, and I feel so grateful to have been a part of their day!
I have shot traditional Indian, Lebanese and Chinese weddings in the past but this was to be my first Turkish wedding – and I was super excited! It was a very special day with music from the Collaborative Orchestra and the Kibris Dortlusu Band, and with a drummer and piper leading the bride and groom into the Hansom Hall it was a feast of colours and music.
The reception started off at a million miles per hour and never slowed down. With the Testi pot dance and the Tebrick following, it was seven hours of non-stop dancing and celebration!
This was my first Turkish wedding and I hope it’s not my last as it was truley epic!!
