I’ve photographed many weddings over the years and seen incredible venues all over the UK. Here are three of my favourite wedding venues in the Somerset and Wiltshire, I think these are a few of the best wedding venues in the South West of England! With rolling hills and picturesque coastlines we are blesed with having so many amazing, interesting and unique wedding venues right on our doorstep.

Euridge Manor farm and Orangery, Wilstshire.

Looking at Euridge Manor Farm & Orangery you might assume that it’s located in the hills of Italy or the South of France. Not so! This stunning venue sits at the edge of Castle Combe on the border of Somerset and Wiltshire, in the heart in the Cotswolds.

For a bit of history, this jaw dropping wedding and event venue was designed by Isabel and Julian Bannerman as part of a monastic-inspired transformation of the estate. It was painstakingly and lovingly curated by owner John Robinson, who is also the founder of the Jigsaw chain.

The vibe is very romantic and the attention to detail is excellent. If you’re looking for an impressive, knockout venue this is definitely one to consider!

North Cadbury Court, Somerset.

North Cadbury Court is a unique and luxurious stately home, steeped in period grandeur and standing proudly in the village of North Cadbury, close to Yeovil, in Somerset. It is well connected for London and Exeter, and the house even has its own helipad and landing strip for those making a stylish arrival by air!

This is a beautiful venue in any season but I love the warm, moody intimacy during Autumn and Winter. Atmospheric is a great word for it, actually, and the rich wood tones add a bit of casual luxury.

If you get married here you can have the venue to yourself and everyone will be catered to – there’s a swimming pool and even a driving range on the roof! The service is also impeccable and welcoming, and it’s another venue that I highly recommend.

The Silk Mill, Frome, Somerset.

The Silk Mill is located in the ultra-hipster town of Frome, a short drive from the historic city of Bath. This venue lends itself well to alternative couples who like to think outside of the box and get creative. It’s an art space, gallery, studio and kick-arse wedding venue all rolled into one.

All of the weddings I have shot at the Silk Mill have been amazingly unique, relaxed and super fun. This is no cookie cutter wedding venue. If you want to get married in a venue that’s cool, different and unfussy this place should be top the list!

Here you have them, the three venues which are, in my humble opinion, the best wedding venues in the South West of England. Do you love Euriudge Manor and Orangery? Have a look at Carina and Neil’s beautiful wedding here.
